Broadway Director John Ferraro Dies at 64

Broadway director John Ferraro has died at age 64 of colon cancer, according to published reports.

Ferraro helmed the short-lived Broadway play Crazy He Calls Me, as well as such Off-Broadway works as The Hotel Play, Be Happy for Me, and Some Men Need Help. As an actor, he worked with Andre Gregory and Wallace Shawn.

He also directed an HBO production of Reno in Rage and Rehab and many episodes of Sesame Street. He also taught acting and TV directing at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts for the past seven years.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Emonts, and son, Gregory.
