Singer and Cabaret Owner Judy Kreston Dies

Singer Judy Kreston died on December 23 in New York City after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Kreston was a popular cabaret singer for many years in New York City, often performing with her husband, David Lahm. The couple also recorded several albums together. She was the owner of the club Judy’s, which started on West 44th Street and later moved to Eighth Avenue in Chelsea.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Betsy Shankin-Morehouse, and her brother, Dr. Thomas J. Cottle. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 28 at 11:30am at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel (1076 Madison Avenue).
