Judy Kaye to Star in York’s In the Theatre Reading

Tony Award winner Judy Kaye will take part in York Theatre Company concert readings of In the Theatre on December 10 at 3pm and 7:30pm at the Theatre at St. Peter’s. David Glenn Armstrong will direct the performances.

Offered as part of the York’s Developmental Reading Series, the musical features music and lyrics by Steven Fisher and book by Joan Ross Sorkin and Fisher. The show, which focuses on British actress Joan Littlewood, will also feature Kevin Loreque, Jim Poulos, Colin Hanlon, Shorey Walker, and Darryl Winslow.

The York has also announced that Bobby Belfry, Paul Damien, Wendy Fox, Tom Gottlieb, Tom Gualtieri, Cheryl King, Leicester Landon, Katie Northlich, and Aaron Petrovich will perform in a concert reading of Arturo’s Window on December 8 at 7:30pm. The piece, with book by Cheryl King and Rod Menzies and music and lyrics by John Mercurio, will be directed by Menzies and centers on a corporate party planner who does good deeds with the money he embezzles.
