LaChanze to Play Highline Ballroom on Valentine’s Day

Tony Award winner LaChanze will perform her new cabaret act at the Highline Ballroom at 8pm on Saturday, February 14.
The actress, who recently performed at Joe’s Pub, won the Tony for her portrayal of Celie in The Color Purple. Her other New York stage credits include Dessa Rose, Ragtme, The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, and Once on This Island. In March, she will star in the play Inked Baby at Playwrights Horizons.
