Brooks, Ebersole, Jackson, et al. to Appear at Barnes & Noble

The calendar of free events at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle (1972 Broadway at 66th Street) in January has been announced.

On Thursday, January 3 at 7pm, Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis will be on hand for a discussion and signing of the new edition of the classic Bertolt Brecht play Mother Courage and Her Children. On Wednesday, January 9 at 7:30pm, Metropolitan Opera star Susan Graham will talk with WQKR’s Jeff Spurgeon. On Thursday, January 10 at 5:30pm, cast members from the Broadway hit Xanadu will perform and sign the show’s original cast recording. On Saturday, January 12, from 6:45pm-10pm, the store will host performances and CD signings by Allan Harris, Maya Azucena, Carla Cook, Eric Reed, Amy London, and Jana Herzen.

On Monday, January 14 at 7pm, Seth Rudetsky will share highlights from his new novel Broadway Nights with special musical guests Christine Ebersole, Cheyenne Jackson, and Christopher Sieber. On Tuesday, January 15 at 5pm, Mel Brooks will be on hand to sign copies of the original cast recording of his hit musical, Young Frankenstein. At 7pm on Thursday, January 17, authors Mari Lyn Henry and Lynne Rogers will discuss and sign their book How to Be A Working Actor. On Monday, January 28 at 7pm, Brian Gari and special guests Liz Larsen, Luba Mason, and Martin Vidnovic will be on hand for a performance and signing of the new CD Late Nite Comic.

The store’s popular Any Wednesday series will continue with Betsy Ann Faiella (January 2), Allan Harris (January 9), Nancy Stearns (January 16), Lynn DiMenna (January 23), and Valerie Lemon and author Barbara Sueling in a tribute to Jane Froman (January 30).
