Brooks Ashmanskas, Adam Bock, Jonathan Butterell, John Ellison Conlee, Raul Esparza, Joe Iconis, Steven Pasquale, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson will join previously announced participants Kerry Butler, Victoria Clark, Gavin Creel, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Cheyenne Jackson, Moises Kaufman, Nellie McKay, Denis O’Hare, Mo Rocca, Claudia Shear, Ted Sperling, Tracie Thoms, and David Yazbek in The 24 Hour Musicals, to be performed at Joe’s Pub on January 21.

Presented by The 24 Hour Company and the Exchange, the event will feature four brand new musicals written, cast, rehearsed and performed at Joe’s Pub in a single day.
The creative process will begin at 10pm on Sunday, January 20 when a group of four writer-composer-lyricist teams, four directors, 16 performers, and a production staff will gather at Joe’s Pub. After casts and crews have been briefed, each writing team is tasked with composing a 15-minute musical by 7am the following morning, when the directors return to read and select their piece. The casts will meet for the first time at 8am and, over the next 12 hours, the musicals are rehearsed. At 8pm, the shows will be performed for a live audience.

Proceeds will benefit the Exchange, a NYC not-for-profit that develops new theater work through productions at its development center in the Catskills, the Orchard Project.
