New World Stages to Host Toys for Tots Drive on December 19

New World Stages will host a special Toys for Tots drive, to take place 4pm-6pm on Tuesday, December 19 at the theater (340 West 50th Street).

Anyone who drops off a new unwrapped toy during that time will receive one free ticket (per toy) to one of the complex’s currently-running shows, Altar Boyz, Evil Dead, How to Save the World in 90 Minutes, Naked Boys Singing! or the upcoming Bill W. and Dr. Bob, which begin performances in February. Casts of these shows will be on hand to collect the toys. The event will also include live caroling and free coffee provided by Starbucks.

“As we continue to expand out mandate and reach out to our neighbors, we realize that the holiday season is all about the children of the communuity,” says Beverley D. MacKeen, New World Stages’ executive director. “If we can make a small difference in the lives of New York’s needy children and bring them a little joy during this season, then we can all enjoys the holidays more.”
