Crosby, Hennessy, Klausner, Tranelli Set for Her Song

B. J. Crosby, Nina Hennessy, Terri Klausner, and Deborah Tranelli will star in Her Song: A Herstory of Women and Song, a new musical revue devoted to songs written by women, at the Triad (158 West 72nd Street) beginning on January 14. The show is being co-created and directed by Barry Levitt.

The show will feature songs by Dorothy Fields, Carolyn Leigh, Peggy Lee, Billie Holiday, Carole King, Edith Piaf, Carole King, Dolly Parton, Stevie Nicks, Carly Simon, Donna Summer, Marilyn Bergman, Betty Comden, Cynthia Weil, and Katharine Lee Bates. Levitt is the former artistic director of the 92nd Street Y’s Lyrics & Lyricists series, as well as a Broadway musical director, arranger, and conductor.

Crosby’s Broadway credits include Smokey Joe’s Café, One Mo’ Time, and Chicago. Hennessy was recently seen in the concert presentation of Silk Stockings and has appeared on Broadway in Cats and Les Miserables.
Klausner starred on Broadway in the title role of Evita. Tranelli is a cabaret singer and actress with many local and regional credits including Tallulah’s Party and Company. She played Phyllis on the hit TV series Dallas for 11 years.
