David Leveaux's Broadway revival of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, starring Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad in the title roles, will end its run at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on December 8. The production had been selling tickets through January 12.
Leveaux's production, which had divided the Montague and Capulet lineage by race, also features Brent Carver as Friar Laurence, Jayne Houdyshell as Juliet's Nurse, Chuck Cooper as Lord Capulet, Christian Camargo as Mercutio, Roslyn Ruff as Lady Capulet, Conrad Kemp as Benvolio, Justin Guarini as Paris, Corey Hawkins as Tybalt, and Geoffrey Owens as Prince Escalus. The ensemble includes Donte Bonner, Joe Carroll, Don Guillory, Sheria Irving, Maurice Jones, Eric Loscheider, Spencer Plachy, Michael Rudko, Tracy Sallows, Thomas Schall, Carolyn Michelle Smith, and Nance Williamson.
