Michael Park, Randy Redd, et al. Featured on The Burnt Part Boys CD

Yellow Sound Label will release a recording of Nathan Tysen and Chris Miller’s The Burnt Part Boys for digital download and in-store purchase on December 6. Michael Croiter, in conjunction with Playwrights Horizons, has produced the recording, which features orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin and has musical direction by Vadim Feichtner.

The show, co-produced by Playwrights Horizons and Vineyard Theatre, features a book by Mariana Elder, lyrics by Tysen and music by Miller. Set in West Virginia in 1962, the musical follows a group of teenagers whose fathers were killed ten years earlier in a tragic coal mining accident.

The album features original company members Charlie Brady, Andrew Durand, Steve French, Noah Galvin, Michael Park, Molly Ranson, and Randy Redd, along with Evan Harrington (who replaced original cast member Asa Somers for the recording of the musical).

The CD release will include a 24-page color booklet featuring complete lyrics, production photos by Joan Marcus, show credits, and a synopsis by Playwrights Horizons Director of Musical Theater Kent Nicholson.
