Klea Blackhurst, Marge Champion, Richard Skipper et al. to Pay Tribute to Jerry Herman

Richard Skipper is producing two events this month in honor of composer and lyricist Jerry Herman, who celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this year.

On Saturday, November 12 at 1:45pm, Skipper will be joined by Klea Blackhurst, Ken Bloom, Marge Champion, Amber Edwards, Sondra Lee, Miles Phillips, Donald Pippin, and Lee Roy Reams for An Afternoon Celebrating The Legacy of Jerry Herman at Local 802 Musician’s Hall. John Fischer will be on piano.

On Monday, November 28 at 8pm, Skipper will launch a new series at The Triad, with each monthly installment celebrating a different theme. This month’s event is entitled Richard Skipper Celebrates…Jerry Herman, and will feature special guests Anna Bergman, Diane J. Findlay, Peggy Herman, Sue Matsuki, Miles Phillips, Jana Robbins, Lee Roy Reams, Walter Willison, Bob Mattern, John Patrick Schutz, and Sarah Rice. The evening will benefit Carol Channing’s Foundation for the Arts.
