Corden, currently starring in the play in the West End at the Adelphi Theatre, may be best known from his portrayal of Timms in Alan Bennett's The History Boys, which Hytner also directed. Corden not only originated the role in London, he played it on Broadway and in the film version. Among his other screen credits are How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Telstar, Lesbian Vampire Killers, and Mike Leigh's All of Nothing.
The comedy centers on Francis Henshall (Corden), who agrees to work for a local gangster as well as a criminal in hiding, both of whom are linked in a tangled web of schemes and romantic associations, which Francis cannot keep straight. Additional casting will be announced in the near future.
The creative team includes Mark Thompson (scenic & costume design), Mark Henderson (lighting design) and Paul Arditti (sound design), as well as physical comedy director Cal McCrystal.
