Edie Falco, Oliver Platt to Co-Host Gotham Independent Film Awards

Stage and screen stars Edie Falco and Oliver Platt will co-host the Gotham Independent Film Awards, according to Deadline.com. The ceremony will be held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday, November 28.

Falco received a 2011 Tony Award nomination for The House of Blue Leaves, with other Broadway credits including Side Man, Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, and ‘night, Mother. She is perhaps best known for her work in Showtime’s Nurse Jackie and HBO’s The Sopranos.

Platt’s Broadway credits include Guys and Dolls and Shining City, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. His many film credits include Frost/Nixon and Kinsey, with television credits including Huff, The Big C, The West Wing, Nip/Tuck, and The Bronx Is Burning.
