TheaterMania Launches BroadwayMania Facebook App

TheaterMania has officially launched BroadwayMania, the new Facebook app where players can test their theater knowledge through a series of games and quizzes in conjunction with rating shows and writing reviews.

BroadwayMania features quizzes that range from easy to advanced and includes questions about popular shows, actors, playwrights and more. Players can test their knowledge of theater topics old and new, for shows like A Chorus Line, Wicked and Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark; for composers like Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim and Elton John; and for playwrights, both classic (the Greeks, Shakespeare, Beckett) and contemporary (Neil LaBute, Theresa Rebeck, Sarah Ruhl).

Players can collect badges and post their results to their Facebook wall; the more questions players answer correctly, the more points they receive and the more badges they collect.

In addition, players can rate and review shows they have seen and can create a “favorite” and “want to see” list. BroadwayMania also features an extensive catalog of current and past Broadway shows.
