The Civilians, Hendrik Hertzberg, Lisa Kron et al. Set for Who Lost America? Public Forum

Playwright Lisa Kron, and journalists Hendrik Hertzberg and Sam Tanenhaus will particicpate in a roundtable discussion entitled Who Lost America? How Our Politics and Culture Have Changed In The 10 Years Since Bush v. Gore, to be held at the Public Theater on Monday, November 15 at 8pm.

Part of the “Public Forum” series, the conversation will be hosted by Oskar Eustis, and moderated by Jeremy McCarter. The evening will conclude with members of The Civilians performing songs about America written by composer Michael Friedman.

The event is being held in conjunction with The Public’s current production of Kron’s In The Wake.

As previously reported, the series will continue with Stephen Sondheim and Tony Kushner in conversation on Monday, November 29. The evening will be hosted by Rocco Landesman, the chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, who has produced shows by both writers. The final event in the fall series will be Afghanistan After America, America After Afghanistan, on Tuesday, December 14.
