Playwrights Horizons Partners with Clubbed Thumb for SuperLab Play Development Program

By Dan Bacalzo • Nov 12, 2010 • New York City
Clubbed Thumb and Playwrights Horizons have announced the launch of SuperLab, a new play development program that will be collaboratively curated by the two theater companies, and dedicated to "the creation of bold, risk-taking new works by living American playwrights."

The six-play development lab aims to "bridge a gap between downtown and uptown theater sensibilities, methodologies and artist rosters." The initiative kicked off this week with a lab process surrounding Madeleine George's Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England.

Future "SuperLabs" have been scheduled for Janine Nabers' Annie Bosh Is Missing, Andrew Dolan's The Many Mistresses of Martin Luther King, and David Adjmi's 3C.
