Atlantic Theater Company Extends Harold Pinter One-Acts Through December 19

By Dan Bacalzo • Nov 11, 2010 • New York City
Atlantic Theater Company has announced a one-week extension for The Collection & A Kind of Alaska: Two Plays by Harold Pinter, which will now run November 3 - December 19 at Classic Stage Company. Karen Kohlhass will direct the production, which opens on November 22.

Pinter's The Collection, written in 1961, focuses on how an early morning phone call and a surprise visitor set off a series of conversations about potential infidelities among two couples. In A Kind of Alaska, written in 1982 and inspired by Oliver Sacks' Awakenings, a middle-aged woman awakens after thirty years and must reorient herself to a greatly changed world.

The company will feature Larry Bryggman, Lisa Emery, Rebecca Henderson, Matt McGrath, and Darren Pettie.

The creative team will include scenic designer Walt Spangler, costume designer Bobby Frederick Tilley II, lighting designer Jason Lyons and sound designer Obadiah Eaves.
