Kelly, Parsons, Setterfield, et al. Set for Uncivil Wars

John Kelly, Estelle Parsons, and Valda Setterfield will be among the ensemble cast members of Uncivil Wars: Collaborating with Brecht and Eisler to play The Kitchen, December 13-22. The piece will be directed, choreographed, and edited by David Gordon.

This new dance-theater work takes Bertold Brecht’s play The Roundheads and the Pointheads (as translated by Michael Feingold) and combines it with material from Brecht’s treatises on playwriting and Hanns Eisler’s thoughts on composing for the theater.

The cast also features Autumn Dornfeld, Norma Fire, Robert LaVelle and Derek Lucci, along with Gina Leishman (who is also the music director) and Dean Moss (who is also the media director). The lighting will be by Jennifer Tipton.
