Eve Ensler and Cyndi Lauper to Be Honored By Feminist Press

Famed playwright Eve Ensler and recording legend Cyndi Lauper and will be honored at the 37th Anniversary Gala of The Feminist Press at the City University of New York on Monday, November 5.

Television personality, author, and restaurateur Barbara Smith will host the ceremony. There will also be a film and reading celebrating the lives of two recently deceased American masters, Tillie Olsen and Grace Paley. OBIE Award winner Kathleen Chalfant (Wit) will read from the works of Grace Paley. The gala benefits The Feminist Press at the City University of New York, the oldest continuing women’s publisher in the world.

Ensler is the award-winning author of The Vagina Monologues and The Good Body. Lauper has been active in the music industry for over two decades. She was most recently seen on Broadway with Alan Cumming in The Threepenny Opera.
