Grammy and two-time Emmy Award-winning music director/composer John McDaniel (Bonnie and Clyde, The Rosie O’Donnell Show) will make his New York directorial debut at 54 Below with Come Fly With Me, a centenary celebration of composer Jimmy Van Heusen’s songwriting partnership with lyricist Sammy Cahn. The pair wrote a number of iconic American standards including “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head,” “All the Way,” “High Hopes,” and “Come Fly With Me,” the cabaret’s namesake.

McDaniel conceived the show during his first season as artistic director of the O’Neill Theater Center’s Cabaret and Performance conference and is bringing its original cast to the New York supper club. The show will star Broadway mainstay Linda Hart (Anything Goes, Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can) along with Jeff Harnar (PBS’ The 1959 Broadway Songbook), Nicolas King (Beauty & The Beast), and award-winning vocalist Jennifer Sheehan.

Come Fly With Me will play 54 Below on Thursday, November 21 at 9:30pm. Tedd Firth lends his musical direction to the performance.
