On Monday, October 16, a collection of Broadway performers descended on the new Cutting Room space at 44 East 32nd Street for Rockers on Broadway: Behind the Music, to honor the crossover talents of songwriters who have written chart topping hits as well as musicals for theater, film and television, such as Elton John, Pete Townshend, Duncan Sheik and Billy Joel.

The evening's performers included Tituss Burgess, Preston Boyd, Micky Dolenz, Trapper Felides, Ariana Grover, John Arthur Greene, John Herrera, Adam Kantor, Donnie Kehr, Chad Kimball, Michelle Kinney, Eric Michael Krop, Jeremy Kushnier, Michael Lanning, Ryan Link, Tracy McDowell, Leslie Odom, Jr., Ryann Redmond, Alice Ripley, Bryce Ryness, Jeremy Schonfeld, Sara Schmidt, John Tartaglia, and Donald Webber.

The evening also featured a tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch with performances by Academy-Award winning composer Paul Williams and three-time Tony-Award winning composer Rupert Holmes, who were the evening's lifetime achievement honorees.
