Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells to Play Ex-Boyfriends on The New Normal

Matt Bomer is set to guest star on the new NBC comedy The New Normal, according to Deadline.

The show’s creator Ryan Murphy is quoted as saying Bomer will play the “sexy ex-boyfriend” of the gay co-lead character Bryan (played by Tony nominee Andrew Rannells).

Bomer recently appeared on Broadway and Los Angeles in readings of Dustin Lance Black’s play 8. He is best known for his portrayal of Neal Caffrey on television’s White Collar and his other film and television credits include Magic Mike and Glee. In addition, he will play Felix Turner in the film version of Larry Kramer’s play The Normal Heart .
