Lola Rock-N-Rolla and Gina Volpe’s Homo the Musical! Will Play at The Wild Project

Homo the Musical!, filmmaker Lola Rock-N-Rolla and writer Gina Volpe’s homage to Hedwig and Rocky Horror, will play October 12-November 3 at The Wild Project. Lola Rock-N-Rolla will direct.

With music and lyrics by Gina Volpe and choreography by Aliane Baquerot, Homo the Musical! tells the tale of a Middle American suburb that is infiltrated by an alien from the Planet Homo posing as a suburban housewife. The production features gay wrestling, raucous church choirs, and cheerleader blood baths, all set to song and dance.

The cast will include Brandon Olson, Greg Beam, Miguel Molinar, Ryan Bauer-Walsh, Erica Penn, Helene Ellford, David Paul Kidder, Tim Murray, Cesar Razza, Matt Dasilva, Julia DiVergilio, and Meg Baessler.

The design team will feature by David Roy (lighting design), Evan Schultz (sound design), Carolyn Dellinger (costume design), Hugh Mackey (projection design), and Maureen Bonsignore (prop and blood design).

Homo the Musical! is presented by Mustache Ride Entertainment in association with Royal Family Productions.
