Rebecca Faulkenberry and Christina Sajous will join the cast of Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, at the Foxwoods Theatre, in November. They replace, respectively Jennifer Damiano who will play her final performance as Mary Jane Watson on November 6, and T.V. Carpio, who will play her final show as Arachne on November 13.

The musical is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility.

The production features creative consultation by Philip William McKinley, original direction by Julie Taymor, music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, and book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Faulkenberry recently made her Broadway debut in Rock of Ages, reprising the role of Sherrie, which she played in the show’s national tour. Sajous originated the Broadway roles of Shirley Owens in Baby It’s You and The Extraordinary Girl in Green Day’s American Idiot.

The two performers will join a principal cast that also includes Reeve Carney and Patrick Page, who continue on in their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, respectively.
