PHOTO FLASH: Christine Baranski, Charles Busch, Joan Rivers, et al. at Double Life Book Party

Comedienne Joan Rivers hosted a release party in honor of Alan Shayne and Norman Sunshine’s new book Double Life: A Love Story from Broadway to Hollywood, which was held at The 21 Club on Thursday, October 26.

Guests at the cocktail party included Christine Baranski, Roger Berlind, Polly Bergen, Charles Busch, Tamsen Fadal, Eileen Fulton, Jane Hanson, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Hoda Kotb, and Larry Kramer.

Double Life, published by Magnus Books, tells the story of the fifty-plus year relationship of Shayne, a former president of Warner Brothers Television, and Sunshine, a painter, sculpter and fashion illustrator. Along with being a personal history involving the likes of Katherine Hepburn, Barbra Streisand and Rock Hudson, it also details the growing acceptance of gay relationships from the 1950s to today.
