Steven Cupo, Nikki M. James, Constantine Maroulis, Heather Raffo, Anthony Rapp, Daphne Rubin-Vega will be among the featured performers in QUILT – A Musical Celebration and Reflection on 30 Years, to be held at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall on November 28. David Esbjornson will direct. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The event celebrates the 25th Anniversary of The NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, and will feature a series of monologues and ballads from the 1990s work QUILT – A Musical Celebration, written by Jim Morgan, Michael Stockler, Merle Hubbard and John Schak. Jesse Vargas will creatively lead music directions and orchestrations, and the performance will feature lighting by Paul Miller. A private dinner will follow the performance.

Actress, producer and television host Whoopi Goldberg is participating in the event’s host committee, while Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner is co-chairing the benefit with POZ editor-in-chief Regan Hofmann.

The fund-raiser will benefit a consortium of six established not-for-profit organizations dedicated to HIV/AIDS education, health, and the arts: Friends In Deed, God’s Love We Deliver, Hispanic Federation, International AIDS Prevention Initiative, The NAMES Project Foundation and Rosie O’Donnell’s Rosie’s Theater Kids.

In addition, there will be a significant viewing of rare NYC-focused portions of The Quilt at Lincoln Center. Each panel on display will have been made by, and or for New York City artists in the fields of theater, music and fashion.
