Julie Andrews to Receive Prince Rainier III Award at Princess Grace Awards Gala

Julie Andrews will be honored with the Prince Rainier III Award for her outstanding contribution to motion picture, television and theater arts at the 29th Annual Princess Grace Awards Gala, to be held on Tuesday, November 1, at Cipriani 42nd Street.

Andrews received an Academy Award for her performance in Mary Poppins. Among her many other film credits are The Sound of Music and 10, as well as the title character of Victor/Victoria, a performance she reprised on Broadway.

Her other Broadway credits include The Boy Friend, My Fair Lady, and Camelot. In addition to her work as a performer, she is an author and has penned numerous children’s books with her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton.

As previously announced, the event will also include the presentation of 21 awards to emerging artists in theater, dance and film.
