EXCLUSIVE VIDEO FLASH: Brendan Fraser Recalls His First Brush With Broadway

Brendan Fraser, who will soon make his Broadway debut in Elling, chatted with TheaterMania on Tuesday, October 19 at a press event for the show, where he recalled his first brush the bright lights of Broadway as a seven-year-old.

Elling, which will begin previews at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on November 2, will be directed by Doug Hughes. The play, written by Axel Hellstenius and Peter Naess and translated by Simon Bent, is based on Ingvar Ambjornsen’s Norwegian novels and Naess’ 2001 film version of them. It focuses on a pair of mismatched friends as they take their first steps in the world after years of living in an institution.

The company will also feature Denis O’Hare, Jennifer Coolidge, Richard Easton, and Jeremy Shamos.
