Complete Cast Announced for Venus Flytrap, Starring Xanthe Elbrick

Complete casting has been announced for the world premiere of Anthony Dodge’s Venus Flytrap at The Workshop Theater, November 4-14. Tony Award nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge will direct.

The play explores the world of Film Noir, featuring a female heroine, Butch Diamond, who is hired by a young soldier searching for his missing twin.

As previously reported, Tony nominee Xanthe Elbrick will star as Butch Diamond. The cast will also include Matt Loney, Raissa Dorff, Jason Emanuel, Grace Gealey, Danny Katz, Jose Luaces, Molly Sorohan, and Richard B. Watson.

The production will feature scenic design by Michael Schweikardt, costume design by Bobby Pearce, lighting design by Paul Miller, and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.

Elbrick received Tony and Drama Desk nominations for Coram Boy, as well as winning Theatre World Award for her performance. She also received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Candida.
