Whoopi Goldberg serves as producer for Head Games, a new science trivia show for the Science Channel, according to a report in the Associated Press. The series will debut on October 17.

Head Games combines humor, facts and videos to test the intellect of contestants and viewers alike. The series is hosted by Greg Proops, who may be best known for his appearances on Whose Line is it Anyway?, the comedy show on ABC hosted by Drew Carey.

Goldberg received a Drama Desk and Theatre World Award for her 1985 Broadway solo show Whoopi Goldberg. She has also starred on Broadway in Xanadu, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and another solo show, Whoopi. She has won numerous awards during her career including the Grammy, Golden Globe, as well as the Academy Award for Ghost, and hosted both the Tony Awards and the Academy Awards.
