Parker Posey will join star Danny Glover in the film Highland Park, directed, produced, and co-written (with Christopher Keyser) by Andrew Meieran, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, currently shooting in Detroit, is about a high school teacher who wins the lottery and uses the money to restore the local library. Posey will play the part of opportunistic mayor, Shirley Paine.
Posey received a Lucille Lortel Award for Hurlyburly, and a Lortel nomination for Fifth of July. Other theater credits include Four Dogs and a Bone and Taller Than a Dwarf.
