Tony Award nominee Susan Watson will appear in a special concert staging of No, No, Nanette on November 14 and 21 in Glendale and Long Beach California.

No, No, Nanette, featuring a score by Vincent Youmans, Irving Caesar and Otto Harbach and a book by Harbach and Frank Mandel, originally opened in 1925 and yielded the hit songs “Tea for Two” and “I Want to be Happy.” The show is best known for its 1971 Broadway revival, which starred Watson in the title role alongside Helen Gallagher, Bobby Van, Jack Gilford, Patsy Kelly, and Ruby Keeler. That revival ran for more than 860 performances and won three Tony Awards.

In addition to Watson, who will play Sue, the cast of No, No, Nanette features Kristi Holden as Nanette as well as Paul Keith, William Martinez, Reece Holland, Christina Saffron Ashford, Helen Geller, Karen Culliver, Melissa Fahn, and Jenny Gordon.

Watson made her Broadway debut as Kim in Bye, Bye, Birdie. Her other Broadway credits include Carnival, Ben Franklin in Paris, A Joyful Noise (for which she got her Tony nomination), and Celebration, which was co-written and directed by her brother-in-law, Tom Jones.

In addition, Watson will participate in a free seminar about Irving Caesar on Monday, November 7 at 3pm at the UCLA Faculty Center in Los Angeles. The seminar will be led by Michael Kerker, head of musical theater for ASCAP, and will also feature an appearance by stage and screen star Betty Garrett.
