The film is also expected to feature Margo Martindale as Mattie Fae, Benedict Cumberbatch as "Little" Charles, Chris Cooper as Charlie, Dermot Mulroney as Steve, Juliette Lewis as Karen, Abigail Breslin as Jean, Sam Shepard as Beverly, and Misty Upham as Johnna, although not all of the casting has been officially confirmed.
