Shaw Festival Announces 2012 Season

The Shaw Festival, located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, has announced selections for its 2012 season, which will be its 51st.

Works written by George Bernard Shaw will include Misalliance, directed by Eda Holmes, and The Millionairess, directed by Blair Williams.

Musical works will include Terrence McNally, Lynn Ahrens, and Stephen Flaherty’s Ragtime, directed by Jackie Maxwell, and Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, directed by Jay Turvey.

Additional presentations will include Noel Coward’s Present Laughter, directed by David Schurmann; John Guare’s His Girl Friday, directed by Jim Mezon; Terence Rattigan’s French Without Tears, directed by Kate Lynch; William Inge’s Come Back Little Sheba, directed by Jackie Maxwell; Githa Sowerby’s A Man and Some Women, directed by Alisa Palmer; Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, directed by Martha Henry; and Carole Fréchette’s Helen’s Necklace.
