Heidi Rodewald, Stew, Jon Spurney to Re-Open Joe’s Pub with Songs from Passing Strange

Joe’s Pub has released an initial lineup of cabaret and burlesque performances for its fall 2011 season.

The venue, which has undergone a restoration/refurbishment, will re-open with two performances of Stew & Heidi: Songs From Passing Strange, featuring Jon Spurney on October 4 at 7pm & 9:30pm. The event will feature Stew, Heidi Rodewald and Spurney performing selections from Passing Strange, including ones cut from the show and others never performed in New York.

Other offerings include Bridget Everett & The Tender Moments (October 5, 9:30pm), Killer Queen Burlesque (October 8, 11:30pm), presented by Anita Cookie and Clams Casino; Benjamin Walker’s Find the Funny (October 11, 9:30pm); Alladin Ullah’s Indio (October 26 & November 1), directed by Chay Yew; Our Hit Parade (October 26), starring Bridget Everett, Kenny Mellman and Neal Medlyn; Scream Along with Billy presents: The Manhattan Halloween Massacre 2 (October 27, 9:30pm), featuring Billy Hough and Susan Goldberg; and Howling Hilda (November 21, 9:30pm), featuring Mary Testa.

Joe’s Pub will also host performances by Julian Fleisher (October 10, 7pm), Joseph Keckler (October 15, 11:59pm), Taylor Mac (October 16 & 23, November 6, 7pm), Justin Vivian Bond (October 30, 9:30pm), and Morgan Karr (November 11, 11:11pm).
