Adam Pascal to Play Huey Calhoun in Broadway’s Memphis

Tony Award nominee Adam Pascal will assume the role of Huey Calhoun in the award-winning musical Memphis, playing at the Shubert Theatre, on October 25. He replaces original cast member Chad Kimball, who will play his final performance on October 23. The production is directed by Christopher Ashley.

Set in the segregated South of the 1950s, the show follows the fictionalized life story of white radio disc jockey Huey Calhoon, who falls in love with both rock & roll and an electrifying black singer, Felicia Farrell (played by Montego Glover).


Memphis, is based on a concept by George W. George and has a book by Joe DiPietro and music and lyrics by David Bryan. The show won the 2010
Tony Award for Best Musical.

Pascal received a Tony Award nomination for his portrayal of Roger Davis in Rent, a performance he reprised in the film version of the musical. His other Broadway credits include Aida and Cabaret. Among his other stage credits are the concert version of Chess seen at Royal Albert Hall.
