Billie Joe Armstrong, Michael Mayer, et al. Set for American Idiot Talkbacks

Green Day’s lead singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and American Idiot‘s director/ co-book writer Michael Mayer will host Idiot University, a series of post-show talkbacks following Broadway performances of the musical, at the St. James Theatre, September 14-19.

The Q & A’s will be moderated by Time Out New York‘s David Cote, and will also feature cast members and additional creative team members.

The musical, which is written by Armstrong and band mates Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool along with Mayer, follows a group of working-class characters from the suburbs to the city to the Middle East as they seek redemption in a world filled with frustration.

The production stars John Gallagher, Jr., Stark Sands, Michael Esper, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Christina Sajous, Mary Faber, and Tony Vincent.
