This evening at 7pm, Drama Desk Award winner Brian d’Arcy James (Shrek) and Tony Award nominee Kate Baldwin (star of the upcoming Broadway musical Big Fish), celebrate the release of the Giant cast album at Barnes & Noble on the Upper East side (150 East 86th Street) where they will offer a special performance and sign CDs. Multiple Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (Queen of the Mist) will join them as well.

Ghostlight Records released the original cast recording on May 21, following a successful off-Broadway run at the Public Theater from November 13-December 16, 2012. Featuring a score by LaChiusa and a book by Tony Award nominee Sybille Pearson (Baby), the musical is based on the 1952 novel by Edna Ferber, chronicling the epic story of Texas, our “Heartbreak Country,” through generations of greed, racial bigotry, big business, and family allegiance. The cast included Enrique Acevedo, Raul Aranas, Mary Bacon, Miguel Cervantes, Natalie Cortez, Rocio Del Mar Valles, John Dossett, Jon Fletcher, P.J. Griffith, Michael Halling, Mackenzie Mauzy, Doreen Montalvo, Michele Pawk, Allison Rogers, Isabel Santiago, Martin Sola, Bobby Steggert, Matthew Stocke, Katie Thompson, and William Youmans, as well as Becca Ayers, Xavier Cano, Michelle Mitchell, and Tally Sessions.
