Theatre at the Center Announces 2013 Season

Theatre at the Center has announced plans for its 2013 season.

Opening the season will be the Chicago area premiere of Ken Ludwig’s The Fox on the Fairway (February 14-March 23), a madcap comedy about two rival country clubs, directed by William Pullinsi. Another Chicago area premiere, What a Glorious Feeling (April 25-June 2) by Jay Berkow, will continue the season with the story of the making of the classic movie-musical Singin’ In the Rain. The musical will feature the work of Broadway choreographer Danny Herman. Next, David Perkovich will direct William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin’s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (July 11-August 18), the tale of six over-achieving quirky adolescents.

In the fall, Stacey Flaster will direct Stephen Schwartz and Michael Tebelak’s Godspell (September 12-October 20), an upbeat retelling of biblical parables. The season’s final offering will be A Christmas Carol, The Musical (November 14-December 22), a retelling of the classic tale with music by composer Alan Menken. William Pullinsi will direct.
