The Edie Adams Christmas Album to Be Released October 9

Omnivore Recordings will release The Edie Adams Christmas Album on October 9. The disc, compiled from previously unreleased recordings from the Kovacs Unlimited television show, will also feature performances by Ernie Kovacs.

The 15-track disc will feature such holiday classics as “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Silver Bells,” “White Christmas,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

Adams’ won a Tony for her performance as Daisy Mae in the musical Li’l Abner, and a Theatre World Award for her Broadway debut as Eileen in Wonderful Town. Her film credits include The Apartment and It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. And, in addition to her appearance on Kovacs’ television series, she appeared on such shows as Designing Women, Bosom Buddies, and Fantasy Island.
