Full Cast Announced for Broadway Revival of Annie

The full cast for the Broadway revival of Annie has been announced. The production will begin previews at the Palace Theater on October 3, with an official opening on November 8. James Lapine will direct the production, which will have choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler.

Annie features music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan, and is based on Harold Gray’s “Little Orphan Annie” comics. The score includes “Maybe,” “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” “Easy Street,” “I Don’t Need Anything But You” and “Tomorrow.”

The cast will be led by two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran as Miss Hannigan; Australian stage star Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks; and 11-year-old Lilla Crawford as Annie. Real-life shelter dog Sunny will play the role of Annie’s adopted and loyal companion Sandy.

Also featured will be Brynn O’Malley as Grace Farrell, Clarke Thorell as Rooster Hannigan and J. Elaine Marcos as Lily St. Regis. The Orphans are Madi Rae DiPietro as July, Georgi James as Pepper, Junah Jang as Tessie, Tyrah Skye Odoms as Kate, Taylor Richardson as Duffy, Emily Rosenfeld as Molly and Jaidyn Young as standby for the roles of Annie, Pepper, Duffy and July.

The cast will also include Ashley Blanchet, Jane Blass, Jeremy Davis, Fred Inkley, Merwin Foard, Joel Hatch, Amanda Lea LaVergne, Gavin Lodge, Liz McCartney, Desi Oakley, Keven Quillon, David Rossetti, Sarah Solie, Dennis Stowe and Ryan VanDenBoom.

The production will feature scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Donald Holder, sound design by Brian Ronan, and projection design by Wendall K. Harrington. The music director is Todd Ellison, with orchestrations by Michael Starobin, dance music arrangements by Alex Lacamoire, musical coordination by Patrick Vaccariello, hair and wig design by Tom Watson, and animal training by William Berloni.
