The actor will play a brilliant surgeon who becomes an ally to Jonny Lee Miller's New York-based detective Sherlock Holmes. The series also stars Lucy Liu as his trusted assistant Dr. Joan Watson, Bill Heck, Jon Michael Hill, and Aidan Quinn.

Harbour recently guest starred on the HBO series The Newsroom. His stage credits include Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Merchant of Venice, and he will appear in the upcoming Broadway revival of Glengarry Glen Ross.
