Principal casting has been announced for the upcoming Australian production of The Addams Family, opening in March at the Capitol Theatre. Jerry Zaks will direct, with choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

In The Addams Family, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a young man from a respectable family. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. The musical features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.

The cast will be led by award-winning Australian actors John Waters (Gomez Addams) and Chloe Dallimore (Morticia Addams), and also feature Russell Dykstra (Fester Addams), Teagan Wouters (Wednesday Addams), Ben Hudson (Lurch), Meredith O’Reilly (Grandma Addams), and Liam Faulkner-Dimond (Pugsley Addams).

The design team includes Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch (set and costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), Acme Sound Partners (sound design), and Basil Twist (puppetry).
