The Fortune Society Postpones The Castle II Due to Hurricane Irene

By Dan Bacalzo • Aug 25, 2011 • New York City
The Fortune Society has postponed its premiere of The Castle II, a sequel to its previous production The Castle, due to the threat posed by Hurricane Irene. The event, which had been scheduled to take place at The Fortune Society's Castle Gardens on Sunday, August 28, will now be presented on Sunday, September 25 at 3pm.

The play is performed by four formerly incarcerated individuals who will share their real-life stories about how they transformed their lives from prisoners to responsible, successful New York residents. David Rothenberg has created and directed the performance.

The cast members are Rory Anderson, Chris Carney, Thomas Jones and Victor Rojas. Collectively they served more than 60 years in state prison on charges including murder, robbery and drugs.

After the performance, the cast will participate in a Q&A with audience members.
