Chester Gregory, currently appearing in Broadway’s Sister Act, mentored children from the Garden of Dreams Foundation at Steinway Hall on July 29.

He was joined by Neal Kirkland, a teacher from the Third Street Music School, and the two music professionals worked with the children on music and gave a piano lesson, and each child was given the opportunity to play their favorite song.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a non-profit charity that works closely with all areas of Madison Square Garden to make dreams come true for kids facing obstacles, such as homelessness, poverty, illness, and more.

In addition to Sister Act, Gregory’s Broadway credits include Hairspray, Tarzan, and Cry-Baby. In addition, he was seen as James “Thunder” Early in the recent revival of Dreamgirls, in both New York and on tour.
