On Sunday, August 1, Tony Award winners
Bernadette Peters and
Elaine Stritch, who now play Desiree Armfeldt and Madame Armfeldt, respectively, in Broadway’s
A Little Night Music, at the
Walter Kerr Theatre, joined the cast after the matinee performance to celebrate the show’s “press re-opening.”
Directed by Trevor Nunn, A Little Night Music features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler, based on the film Smiles of a Summer Night by Ingmar Bergman.
The principal cast also features Alexander Hanson (Fredrik Egerman), Aaron Lazar (Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm), Erin Davie (Countess Charlotte Malcolm), Leigh Ann Larkin (Petra), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (Henrik Egerman), and Ramona Mallory (Anne Egerman).
The company also includes Stephen R. Buntrock, Bradley Dean, Sara Jean Ford, Katherine McNamara, Betsy Morgan, Jayne Paterson, Kevin David Thomas, Keaton Whittaker, Karen Murphy, Erin Stewart, and Kevin Vortmann.
