Casting has been announced for the revival of Marc Blitzstein’s The Cradle Will Rock, which will open and close the Howl! Arts Project, with performances September 2-3 and 28-29 at Theatre 80 St. Marks. Larry Marshall will direct the production, which will have choreography by Laura Stilwell and musical direction by Mimi Stern-Wolfe.

The piece tells the story of a man whose efforts to start a workers’ union could be thwarted by the wealthy businessman. The company will feature Laura Wolfe (Moll), Charles Baran (Larry Foreman) and Paul Malamphy (Mr. Mister), along with Ryan Cahill, Darcy Dunn, Gavin Esham, Brian Henry, Marcus Moss, Jeannine Otis, Zak Risinger, Tom Savage, Michael Schilke, Greg Senf, Steve Sieck, Mark Singer, and Go Takeuchi.

Proceeds from the performances will benefit H.E.L.P. (Howl! Emergency Life Project), an emergency services assistance and health fund for eligible and qualifying East Village artists, administered by The Actors Fund.
