Barbra Streisand to Be Honored by MusiCares in 2011

Superstar Barbra Streisand will be honored as the 2011 MusiCares Person of the Year on February 11, 2011 in Los Angeles, according to the Associated Press.
The gala is part of Grammy week, with the Grammy Awards scheduled to be presented on February 13 and aired live on CBS-TV. Streisand is being honored for both her creative accomplishments and her philanthropic work.
Streisand appeared on Broadway in I Can Get It For You Wholesale and Funny Girl. Her films include Funny Girl, Funny Lady, Yentl, and Nuts. She has won the Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy Awards, a special Tony Award, and is a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honor.
