Wajahat Ali’s Domestic Crusaders to Play Nuyorican Poets Cafe

Casting has been announced for the New York premiere of The Domestic Crusaders, written by acclaimed Pakistani-American playwright, Wajahat Ali. Carla Blank will direct the production at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, September 11-October 11.

The play examines a contemporary Pakistani-American Muslim family in a post 9-11 world, where humor, tensions, and sparks fly among three generations of family members. The cast will feature Adeel Ahmed, Kamran Khan, Imran Javaid, Monisha Shiva, Nidhi Singh and Abbas Zaidi.
