Singing Hope 2009 Benefit Concert Set for October 24

Singing Hope 2009, a benefit concert to help eradicate poverty in Africa, will be held on Saturday, October 24 at Avery Fisher Hall.

The concert, which has been created by Rekindle Hope, offers a union of classical, jazz, gospel and soul music. It will feature the Bavarian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, singers Noriko Uratam Marquita Lister, and Jacques-Greg Belobo, pianist Jean van Vugt, artists from the Juilliard School, the Harlem Gospel Choir, and classical rock violinist Daisy Jopling.
